Air conditioning systems use as refrigerants chlorofluorocarbons that affect global warming, so refrigerant manufacturers have been developing new refrigerants with a low global warming potential.
Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, a major customer of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, Ltd., has been selling the Delica D:5 since February 2019. This model is the first in Japan to adopt a new refrigerant air conditioning system. We supply the air conditioning system (excluding some parts) for this vehicle model. This report presents a new refrigerant with a low environmental impact and our air conditioning system adopted for the Delica D:5.
