Car Air-Conditioner Using Low Global Warming Potential Refrigerant

Today, greenhouse gas emissions continue to increase, and interest in global warming, including rising sea levels and disasters caused by abnormal weather around the world, has been increasing more and more. Air conditioning systems use as refrigerants chlorofluorocarbons that affect global warming, so refrigerant manufacturers have been developing new refrigerants with a low global warming potential. Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, a major customer of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems, Ltd., has been selling the Delica D:5 since February 2019. This model is the first in Japan to adopt a new refrigerant air conditioning system. We supply the air conditioning system (excluding some parts) for this vehicle model. This report presents a new refrigerant with a low environmental impact and our air conditioning system adopted for the Delica D:5.
