With the growing global trend of awareness about reducing environmental burden, demand is increasing for a replacement for the system of air conditioning for households to room air-conditioners, which promise safe and efficient heating and cooling. Furthermore, in our primary market of Europe, new energy-saving regulations on air conditioners were enacted in January, 2013. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) placed on the market an inverter-type room air-conditioner complying with the new European energy-saving regulations, which is the highest class in the industry in terms of its lightness and compactness.
