Various facilities including a large underwater
anechoic tank, test benches for high speed rotating machines
and multi-exciter systems and fundamental technologies in dynamics
and acoustics contribute to the integration of vibration and
noise control techniques for ships, turbines and engines. Complex
research on active vibration and noise control, ultrasonic transducers,
parametric sound arrays and diagnostics employing sound and
bulk waves are just some of the attractive new topics that are
being keenly pursued.
