Diesel engines have a high thermal efficiency
and low CO2 emission levels and are thus
used for many purposes. To increase the thermal efficiency and
to decrease the NOx emission level, research is focusing on
combustion in the cylinder.
We are applying the results of our research to the Mitsubishi
UE diesel engine, the Mitsubishi KU diesel engine, the Mitsubishi
Sagami engine, and the Mitsubishi Meiki spark ignition engine.
Research and development is also being conducted on new water-hydraulic
equipment and machinery; intensive efforts are being made to
improve the performance and durability of water-hydraulic equipment.
Furthermore, much research effort is being devoted to developing
computer-controlled machenes which use high-speed electro-hydraulic
motion control technology.
