			<title><![CDATA[MHI to Establish Subsidiary to Handle Industrial Machinery Business]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[Tokyo, February 3, 2012 - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), will establish a new subsidiary to handle the industrial machinery business, including material handling systems and rubber & tire machinery, effective April 1, 2012. The new company, to be wholly-owned by MHI, will be created by integrating the industrial machinery business, currently being operated by the Industrial Machinery Business, Technology & Solutions Division of MHI, and three existing MHI group companies, including MEC Engineering Service Co., Ltd. (MEC). Today, MHI and MEC signed an absorption-type company split agreement, and MEC and two other MHI group companies signed absorption-type merger agreement. Through this initiative, MHI aims to establish an agile and strong business structure capable of responding to severe market environment changes, strengthen business and stabilize revenue bases.]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[MHI Establishes Heavy-duty Material Handling Equipment]]></title>

			<description><![CDATA[Tokyo, November 10, 2011 - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) and Anupam Industries Limited (Anupam) of India have jointly established Anupam-MHI Industries Limited, a company to manufacture heavy-duty material handling equipment, including quayside container cranes, in India. The creation of the new JV is aimed at aggressively exploring India's fast-growing market, with the Asian and Middle East and Africa (MEA) markets also in sights, by strengthening business collaboration between MHI and Anupam, to which MHI has already licensed related technologies, and further enhancing the cost competitiveness of their products. Plans call for the JV to establish two plants respectively overseeing production and assembly of structural components and to commence operation in the first half of 2012, having annual production capacity of 60 units.]]></description>

			<title><![CDATA[MHI Licenses Crane and Heavy-duty Material Handling Equipment]]></title>

(MHI) has agreed to license its crane and material handling equipment technology for large-scale ports, including container cranes, to Anupam Industries Limited (ANUPAM), India's largest overhead crane builder. The two companies signed a licensing agreement in India today. Through licensing MHI aims to capture India's rapidly expanding market and also seeks to develop markets in Asia, the Middle East and Africa. With establishment of a joint venture in India also in its sights, MHI looks to accelerate business expansion in these regions in a quest to boost its overall ratio of overseas sales.]]></description>

The MHI-TM2000, which is capable of precise identification of tumor location and exact delivery of radiation beams, enables highly accurate cancer treatment easily and more simply than conventional machines while simultaneously reducing the burden on the patient. Since its market launch in April 2008, MHI has delivered two units for domestic customers; the delivery for UZ Brussel represents the first one for overseas.]]></description>
