TRENT1000
![]() |
The Trent 1000 is a new variant of Rolls-Royce's Trent engine series. As a risk-sharing partner, MHI is responsible for the design and manufacture of the combustor module and low pressure turbine blades, core parts of the engine.
The Trent 1000 will have ratings across the range of 53,000 to 75,000 lb thrust. The new engine, incorporating Rolls-Royce's proprietary three-shaft design configuration, is designed to achieve remarkably higher combustion efficiency and also contribute to environmental compatibility by substantially reducing gas emissions. This product is scheduled to be certified in 2007 and enter into service in 2008 along with the Boeing new product, 787 "Dream Liner."
