Supersonic Wind Tunnel

To verify airflow characteristics of a supersonic jet plane, space plane, etc., aerodynamic performance tests in regions of Mach number 1.5 to 4 or so are essential. This facility is intended to test flight characteristics in the regions of Mach number 1.5 to 4 or so. We have manufactured wind tunnels to achieve various Mach numbers corresponding to the test purposes.

Schlieren photographs of airflows at Mach number 1.5 and 4.0, are respectively shown below.
