Purified Terephthalic Acid Plant

MHI has the first experience of completion of construction for a PTA plant having a capacity of 350,000 t/y in India, in December, 2000, based on a lump sum turn key, which has been in satisfactory operation and has continuously been involved in the next project having the same capacity, on a basis of an engineering & procurement and supervisory services, which has been in satisfactory operation.
Furthermore in 2006, MHI completed a PTA plant construction having a capacity of 600,000t/y in China, which has been in satisfactory operation.
MHI has tied up with MCC in a sales promotion in the PTA business over the world and has participated in developing an improvement of the process in collaboration with MCC, making good use of MHI's research & development centers and machinery works in Japan.
Further MHI can contribute to MCC's process, incorporating its own air-compressors, reactors, diesel engine generators and so on into PTA plants, which are manufactured in MHI's factories in Japan as an outstanding manufacturer in the world.
