Mixed-Pressure Turbines

Mixde-pressure turbines are driven by two or more kinds of steam admitted independently to the turbine. In applying duel heat sources, the optimum steam condition for each source can be selected. This type of turbine can also be used to combine an existing boiler and a new boiler, which makes it an effective means of improving plant thermal efficiency.
