OPERATOR STATION & DATA LOGGER SYSTEM (OPS & DLS)

The OPS enables centralized man-machine interface for total power plant control and monitoring. It provides graphic displays of the plant and its processing status, shows alarm warnings, and issues operator commands such as auxiliary start/stop and manipulation of control setpoint/valve position. The integrated OPS & DLS is a standard Microsoft Windows or UNIX-based system which includes dedicated peripherals such as color graphic CRT, operator keyboard and pointing devices. A touch screen is adopted for optimum user-friendliness and prevention of operator error. Screens are normally displayed within one second of key- in command. Screen call-up, interaction with the screen, and windowing are all based on menu selection, activated either by touch screen or operator key-board. To prevent erroneous operation, hard switch confirmation is required before a control command is activated from the OPS.
