The CRJ-700 is the newest model of the CRJ Series
by Bombardier in Canada, and first flew in 1999.
MHI participated in its joint development and MHI's work share is
the aft fuselage. The mass production model is scheduled to be delivered
in 2001.
This aircraft has many seats and a large cargo capacity, so it is
economical, and since the pilot qualifications are the same as the
existing model, it attracted attention as the aircraft responding
to the demand of regional aircraft industries.
