AC Controller

Design Based on the Module Concept

AC CONTROLLER
AC CONTROLLER
Flexible to various models

Functional modules for a logics unit, an inverter and a remote input / output unit, are networked by communication, enabling the flexible system to meet various demands.

Reliability

A wealth of experiences cultivated for many years by Mitsubishi's electric vehicle division

We produce a variety of electric vehicles, such as battery forklifts and large-sized automatic guided vehicles, and we have excellent results. Using technologies that have been refined over many years, we offer the controller of an electric vehicle which takes pride in its reliability.

High Compatibility

Suitable for every vehicle with AC motor

In addition to a forklift, the controller has the compatibility for any vehicle that uses an AC motor, such as an electric truck, an AGV, a golf cart or a lawn mower.

Development Support

Helping customers develop new electric vehicles
  • Offer advice based on our know-how as a forklift manufacturer.
  • Help customers develop systems, as we hold various checking facilities and measurement instruments, for matching adjustment of motors and controllers.
  • Realize the effective use of a power supply.

Advanced Function and Performance to Help Customers' System Development

Logics Unit

The CPU unit used to control the vehicle has various I/O necessary for a standard vehicle system. We provide the application for the base software and interface, so that it is easy for users to develop their own application software.
  • 7 analog inputs
  • 25 digital inputs
  • 2 digital outputs
  • 5 PWM outputs
  • 2-phase encoder input 1ch
  • Serial port 2ch(1ch is reserved for maintenance)
  • CAN 1ch (500kbps)
  • Flash ROM built-in
  • Real-time clock(option)

Inverter: Pump, Traction

The AC motor controller is small but offers high-output and high-efficiency, which are necessary to the operation of an electric vehicle.
Hardware

1. Small-sized power unit
  • Reduced heat resistance by adopting IMS (aluminum base)

2. Improvement of the heat balance / durability
  • Advanced MOSFET reduces energy loss

3. Enables large scale processing
  • Implemented DSP (Digital Signal Processor: high-speed processing element)
Software

1. Motor efficiency is advanced by the improvement of voltage usage rate
  • Introduced overmodulation control

2. Can be chosen from vector control system or V/F control system

3. Advancement of "Fail Safe" functions
  • Detect disconnection of motor cable
  • Prevent damage from a short circuit

Remote I/O Unit

To be used when logics are not enough for I/O

Remote input unit
  • 8 analog inputs
  • 8 digital inputs
  • 2-phase encoder input 1ch (2 digital inputs)
  • CAN 1ch
  • Flash ROM built-in

Remote output unit
  • 10 PWM outputs
  • CAN 1ch
  • Flash ROM built-in
