Integrated coal Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) is a new coal utilized power generation technology that achieves extremely high thermal efficiency and environmental performance for the next generation.
The reliability, economy and performance of the air-blown IGCC system has been in verification through a 250MW demonstration plant project for Clean Coal Power R&D Co., Ltd. as the final phase for commercialization.
MHI's IGCC system integrated with air-blown entrained flow gasifier, gas clean-up and gas turbine combined cycle power generation was adopted in the demonstration plant, and it will be also applied to nearfuture commercial plants.
