DME Plant Introduction

DME (Dimethyl ether) has emerged as an attractive, promising, alternative clean fuel for transportation, power generation and household. MHI is promoting introduction of this new clean energy, DME (Dimethyl ether). MHI's technology development activities cover from DME synthesis from feedstock such as natural gas/coal through utilization of DME as fuel by end users. In another words, MHI is one of the major players in this field by means that MHI is capable to provide technical solution for almost every element in the supply chain, i.e. DME production, ocean transportation, receiving terminal, various power systems, etc. Amongst them, MCEC can contribute as an EPC contractor for DME production plant, and participates in or cooperates in various phase of a project such as detailed feasibility studies for DME production, technical studies to scale-up synthesis plant, and plant cost estimation and economic evaluation. MCEC's distinguished capability in this field has been already demonstrated in the past execution of EPC work for methanol plants which are very similar with DME production plants.
