MHI Provisionally Hands Over Power Plant and RO Desalination Plant
for Rabigh Arabian Water & Electricity Company in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

MHI has provisionally handed over power plant (120MW x 5 units) and RO desalination plant (500t/hour x 16 trains) for Rabigh Arabian Water & Electricity Company (RAWEC) in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on January 1, 2009.

The purpose of these plants are to supply electricity, water and steam for a worldwide first degree oil refinery and petrochemical complex in Rabigh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia which is managed by Rabigh Refining And Petrochemical Company (Petro Rabigh) of end-user which has been jointly established by Sumitomo Chemical and Saudi Aramco.

MHI receives high acclaim from Petro Rabigh and RAWEC about high reliability of these plants.
