Power producer and supplier, Hofu Energy Services completes construction
of pulverized coal-fired power generation plant
On May 27th, a ceremony was held to mark the completion of construction of a pulverized coal-fired power generation plant for Hofu Energy Services, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan Energy Network Co., Ltd. Construction work reached completion without any accidents or injuries.
The plant, consisting of a 16,450kW turbine along with a 100 ton/h coal-fired boiler, is primarily an energy supply project which will supply power and steam to various plants in the surrounding area.
It goes without saying that MHI’s existing power plants for in-house power generation have to meet the needs of customers who are struggling with various problems, such as soaring fuel costs, and the company is putting forward proposals regarding power generation plant for these energy supply operations.
