Long term maintenance contract is received from SCCL (UK)
MHI signed a long term maintenance contract for an approximately 1,200MW gas turbine combined cycle (GTCC) power plant in March 2008. It was signed with Saltend Cogeneration Company LTC (UK), a subsidiary of a joint venture company established by International Power plc. and Mitsui Co.. The contract was received via Mitsubishi Power Systems Europe Ltd.(MPSE), the business base for MHI's power system operations in the Europe.
This is the third maintenance contract that MHI received from SCCL. The first long term maintenance contract was for 2000 to 2006, and the second a single year contract in 2007. The long term maintenance contract this time is for three 400MW GTCC systems with model M701F gas turbines.
MPSE was established in October 2007 to meet the future demand growth expected for electric power generation facilities in Europe. This is MPSE’s first large order received.
