Handing over of e3p Huntly Power Plant is completed to Genesis Power Ltd of New Zealand

The e3p Huntly power plant for Genesis Power Ltd of New Zealand was completed on June 29, 2007. This power plant consists of one system of a 400MW natural gas fired gas turbine combined cycle plant. MHI and Mitsubishi Corporation jointly received this contract from this state-owned power company of New Zealand.

On August 31, a grand opening ceremony was held with the participation of the Minister of State Owned Enterprises, and the Mayor of Waikato District Council, where the power plant is located. Completion of this power plant contributes to the power supply of New Zealand, which largely relies on hydroelectric power.
