Gas turbine combined cycle plant for PGE Company in the U.S. starts business operation

General Electric Company in the U.S. state of Oregon on June 11. This plant is gas fired, single shaft GTCC using a high output, high efficiency gas turbine 501G1 of MHI. Its output is 398.4MW (423.7MW when duct firing).

Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas, a U.S. subsidiary of MHI, received the order for this project. MHI manufactured the power train equipment composed of a gas turbine (GT) and steam turbine (ST), along with providing technical advice for on-site installation and commissioning.

As the highest efficiency GTCC power plant currently on the U.S. west coast, there are great expectations placed on it. After this start of business operation, MHI will contribute to stable U.S. west coast power supply, based on a long term service agreement (LTSA).
