A ceremony to pray for safe installation of a chemical recovery boiler power generation at Marusumi Paper Company Limited's Ohe mill was held on September 28, 2005. The plant's boiler(1200T/D) and turbine(35.4MW) will both be manufactured by MHI.
Marusumi Paper Company Limited is planning installation of new pulp manufacturing facilities concurrent with the expansion of the mill for further concentration of production facilities. The construction of the power generation plant is part of ongoing efforts to prepare for future production increase and energy saving.

The power generation plant is expected to contribute to enhance the productivity of the mill as the integrated part of the continuous production process of pulp and paper by recovering chemical and supplying electricity for the process. Local works of the plant are about to start, including foundation work, which the customer will implement.

All the staff and workers involved in the project will make their best efforts for its safe completion and handover, which is scheduled for June, 2007, with no accident and casualty.
