MHI has supplied two M501F gas turbines for the state-owned Saudi Arabian oil company (ARAMCO), based on a contract with JGC Corporation.
The two gas turbines have been installed in a Berri gas refinery built-in Saudi Arabia by ARAMCO. The turbines will provide the plant with electricity and steam in combination with an exhaust boiler provided by the customer.
The two gas turbines, which are the first ever F-type turbines installed and operated in Saudi Arabia, evidences the country's high appraisal of MHI technology, and is expected to lead to further orders for F-type turbines from Saudi Arabia and other nations in the Middle East.
