A Nesjavellir geothermal power plant is delivered to Reykjavik Energy in Iceland

On September 15 2005, MHI completed handover of the No. 4 Nesjavellir geothermal power plant (output of 30MW) to Orkuveita Reykjavíkur (Reykjavík Energy).
MHI previously supplied all three existing units at the Nesjavellir Geothermal Power Plant. In addition to the construction work involved in the No. 3 unit, delivery of this No. 4 unit included construction of the cooling tower. As a result of the hard efforts of all involved, MHI were able to hand over the plant one and a half months ahead of schedule, and it has been favorably evaluated by our client.

On July 2004 MHI also received orders from Orkuveita Reykjavíkur for the No. 1 and No. 2 geothermal power plant (output of 40MW x 2 units) at the Hellisheidi Geothermal Power Plant.
