Wave of International Conferences and Exhibitions on Wind Power Generation

This autumn, several international conferences and exhibitions on wind power generation have been held both in Japan and overseas. Demonstrating its presence as Japan's only manufacturer of large-scale wind turbines, MHI participated in the four conferences below and made nine presentations.
MHI appeared on KBS, a local TV station in South Korea; and in Japan, footage of the conference in London was aired on TV Tokyo. In particular, at the conferences held in Beijing, South Korea and Tokyo, using the catchphrase of “Asian made wind turbines for Asia,” MHI stole the limelight with the appeal of the reliability of its wind turbines applying their typhoon-resilient Smart Yaws.

Nov 12 International Forum on Clean & Renewable Energy Chonju, South Korea
Nov 22-25 European Wind Energy Conference & Exhibition 2004 London, England
Nov 25-26 26th Wind Energy Utilization Symposium Tokyo, Japan

Up until now MHI's participation at international conferences had been limited to only North American and Japan. However, in a significant step forward, MHI is now committed to taking an active role in the emergent Asia and in Europe, the home of wind power generation.
