(PDF:250KB)

MHI announced technology update and operating experience running records of Mitsubishi G series gas turbine. M701G2 gas turbine, for 50Hz utilities, will produce a combined cycle power output of 495MW with 59% efficiency (LHV). MHI had developed their G series gas turbine on the basis of their reliable F series' proven structure, and also equipped the G series with the state-of-the-art technologies such as steam cooled combustor. Moreover, M701G2 gas turbine also incorporated Mitsubishi H series technologies in some parts such as compressor section, etc. This provides M701G2 gas turbine with outstanding advantages, such as 24% increase in power output (as combined cycle) and 2% (relative) improvement in efficiency, compared to precedent model M701F3, resulting in more economic benefit for users.
The first Mitsubishi G series gas turbine began commercial operation in 1997. So far, Mitsubishi G series have logged experienced more than 190,000 total operating hours in worldwide application. With success of in-house shop load test of for M701G2 in 2002, M701G2 gas turbine is expected to be a main product for 50Hz regions.

In the LTSA panel session, MHI explained advantage of LTSA. In LTSA, plant owners can place order with MHI routine inspection and hot parts management on lump sum basis. This will eliminate fluctuation of plant maintenance cost on long term and helps plant owners with easier maintenance investment planning. With its long accumulated power plant management know-how as a power systems equipment manufacture MHI can provide prompt service also for requirements. MHI LTSA will reduce burden of power plant owners.
MHI is capable to offer after sales services through their worldwide network.

3. Exhibition
MHI also participated in the Exhibition part. MHI introduced technologies update of gas turbines, large capacity steam turbines, boilers, wind turbines and geothermal plants, with success by more than of 300 visitors.
