MHI received an order for eleven 1,000 kW wind turbines from Kinden Corporation for the Kusu Wind Farm, which was already made factory shipment on November 19th.
The Kusu Wind Farm in Kusu, Oita, Japan Prefecture is scheduled for construction on a ridge of Mt Kagami (altitude 674 m) near the municipal livestock park, Cowbell Land Kusu.
The wind farm will be the first such facility in Oita Prefecture, with eleven 1,000 kW turbines scheduled for installation by March 2005. Residents of Kusu are hopeful that the wind turbines will become a new symbol of the area.
