The Summit Onahama S Power K.K. coal burning co-generation plant launches commercial operations

The Summit Onahama S Power coal burning co-generation plant located at Iwaki city, Japan launched commercial operations on October 1st following long-term consecutive test operations that made use of actual operating loads from July 1st.
This generation plant is a base-load type of plant that will supply 30 MW retail oriented power to the Power Producer and Supplier of Summit Energy along with supplying the electricity and steam power that is needed in the plant operations of Nihonkaisui Co., Ltd's Onahama Plant, where the relevant plant is installed.
Further, by making this possible in the short span of just 12-months following the beginning of construction and by making it possible to supply stable sources of electricity and steam right in line with the contract's guidelines, MHI full turnkey construction abilities have met with high praise.
