MHI has received an order from the Mexican Federal Electricity Commission (Commission Federal de Electrocidad) to carry out an up-grade project on the #1 Boiler system equipment at the Carbon II Power Station located in Coahuila State in Northern Mexico.

The boiler was made by MHI and delivered in 1992 (Capacity: 1,210 tons of steam/hour). However, over ten years have passed. The current project is aimed at replacement a economizer deteriorated and install a new control equipment for coal feeder. These improvements will enhance operating reliability and also raise maintenance efficiency.

This is a turnkey order that includes design, manufacturing, installation and test operation. The project is scheduled for completion and final delivery in February 2005.
