More MHI gas engine plants are coming on stream all the time and have already acquired a reputation for reliable operation. Last October, the startup ceremony was held after installing an 18KU30GA (5,500 kW) gas co-generation system at Aisin AI Company. This facility built by First Esco for Aisin AI Company as part of an energy service contract deal has since operated without incident.
Another 18KU30GA (5,750 kW) gas engine delivered to the Maebashi plant of Tostem Corporation in September last year has been running smoothly ever since. A third 18KU30GA (5,750 kW) gas engine installed at the Ageo plant of Nissan Diesel Motor Company in November has clocked up more than 1,500 hours of operation (as of end of January). All facilities have been operating at full capacity since startup as the contractors have done their best to enable the clients to make the most of their investments.
