MHI has released its new 8MACH-30G and 6MARK-30B KU series engines.
By adding its eight-cylinder inline engine 8MACH-30G (output: 2,550/2,450 kW) to its best-selling MACH-30 series developing as a V-type engine with output in the range of 3,650-5,750 kW, the company is now capable of responding to demand for mid-size engines.
In an additional move, the company has newly introduced its six-cylinder inline engine 6MARK-30B (output: 2,590/2,700 kW) to the market for its MARK-30B series, which boasts unrivaled generating efficiency in the world. This was done based on data showing an increased demand for cogeneration plants, which utilize a combination of 2.7 MW class diesel engines. The design was also meant to cut maintenance costs by reducing periodic maintenance by half.
