Seto Wind Hill Power Plant in Japan has eleven 1,000 kW wind turbines



On September 28, the construction ended for the Seto Wind Hill Power Plant, owned by Seto Wind Hill, Ltd., This plant is the largest wind-powered generating plant in the Chugoku and Shikoku area of Japan, with a generating capacity of 11,000 kW (1,000 kW x 11 wind-power turbines). The new plant is located in Seto-cho, Nishi-Uwa-gun (Ehime Prefecture) and is being operated by MHI and the local Seto Township government. Geographically, the plant is located in the center of the long and narrow Shikoku-Sada-misaki Peninsula that stretches from east to west.
The plant is situated at an elevation of approximately 300 meters and will undoubtedly become a new symbol of Seto Town.

MHI built the plant on a turnkey project basis that included the windmill design and fabrication, the foundation work, the related electric power equipment as well as installation and wiring work.
The latest MWT-1000A model was selected for the #1 Wind Turbine.
