of commercial operation of Mitsubishi Rayon 70MW Power plant |

After the performance test had been completed successfully, 355 ton's/hr pulverized
coal firing boiler and 70MW extraction condensing steam turbine delivered to Mitsubishi
Rayon Co., Ltd. Otake Production Center began commercial operation. This power
plant has been constructed to operate at high efficiencies and low emission rates
not only for meeting the ProductionÕneeds for electricity and steam, but also
for selling excess electricity as an independent power producer to electric power
utilities. The plant consists of boiler, steam turbine generator, electrostatic
precipitator, FGD(flue gas desulfurization) system and flue gas stack etc. arranged
compactly.
