Argentina Parana Combined Cycle Power Plant commences commercial operations

The combined cycle plant for the Parana Power Plant (Argentina) has been completed and turned over to the customer, AES Parana, and has begun regular commercial operations.
This plant, among others built for use in Argentina, follows the plant supplied to the Costanera Power Plant and is a high-efficiency, combined cycle plant. The output of the plant is 830,000 kW. MHI has delivered, on a full turnkey basis, two M701F gas turbines, one steam turbine and the related auxiliary equipment. With the help of all cooperating parties, the two and half-year construction period has been completed and the plant has been delivered to the customer. It can be anticipated that this plant will play a contributing role in achieving a stable supply of electric power in Argentina.
