Mitsubishi's 111 units of wind turbine deliver renewable energy to California

MHI has completed the construction of 74 units of 600kW(Total 44.4MW) Machines in Mountain View Power Partners I and 37 units of 600kW (Total 22.2MW) in Mountain View Power Partners II wind energy projects near Palm Springs, California , have begun commercial operation and have started the delivery of clean, renewable power to California customers.
This Wind Farm shall been owned by PG&E NEG(National Energy Group).
PG&E NEG is part of San Francisco-based PG&E Corporation



Mountain View Wind Power Project

The projects, were developed and constructed by SeaWest WindPower Inc.and the 111 units of Wind Turbine Generators (MWT-600) were manufactured and delivered by MHI through MPS (Mitsubishi Power Systems, Inc.). MHI also provided the supervision works for construction. The turbines are mounted on 50- and 60-meter tubular towers and are designed to produce enough energy for more than 40,000 homes in California.
The California Department of Water Resources will purchase the entire output of the two wind projects, under a long-term contract.

The Completion Ceremony for these project was held among PG&E NEG, SeaWest WindPower Inc. and MPS, MHI on October 18, 2001 at Palm Spring California.
