Bursa Combined Cycle Power Plant in Turkey Achieved Availability Guarantee
- More than 99 % availability was achieved by 4 units of M701F gas turbine -

1,400MW Bursa CCPP(Combined Cycle Power Plant) started its commercial operation in December, 1999 and achieved its availability guarantee (13,000 hours in 2 years per one block) in June 2001, 6 months earlier than its commitment. It means that all four units of M701F achieved more than 99% availability since 13,000 hours corresponds to almost 18 months. In September, a protocol was signed between Turkish Electricity Generation & Transmission Co. (TEAS) and MHI, confirming this achievement. Bursa CCPP consists of 4 units of M701F gas turbine generator, 4 units of MHI HRSG, 2 units of MHI steam turbine generator. This result shows a great teamwork of our Takasago Machinery Works, Kobe Shipyard & Machinery Works, and Mitsubishi Electric Co.. Bursa CCPP is the largest and the most advanced power plant in Turkey, and is contributing in its high quality and high efficiency to meet increased electricity demand in Turkey.
