    Summary of EU-APWR Features

    EU-APWR is the world largest class Generation Ⅲ reactors.
    1,700MWe class output to European utilities with enhanced safety,reliability, and economy.

    Reactor Coolant System & Safety System

    Basic configuration of EU-APWR RCS is as same as RCS of current MHI PWR plants.
    Typical 4 loop system but each main component design has been improved by advanced technology. And both mechanical and electrical safety system consists of 4 trains with Advanced Accumulator.

    Main Components & Other System

    Main components in RCS system have 60 years plant life.

    Building & Layout Design

    Containment Vessel of EU-APWR is consists of prestressed single primary containment and partially secondary containment.
    Reactor building is designed to facilitate plant operation and maintenance, and to minimize personnel radiation exposure.

    Construction & Operation

    MHI has been developed advanced construction method thru 24 PWRs construction in Japan.
