To our esteemed Business Partners,

The amount MHI spends each year on procured goods and services is about 70% of our total costs.Thus, we realize the importance of actively pursuing cooperative and mutually beneficial relationships with the business partners who supply goods and services to MHI.

Throughout our entire company, we are undertaking efforts to accelerate improvements in our work processes to achieve better flow of information and resources through all stages of our value-chain, including sales, design, procurement, production and after-sales service.
In order to maintain our competitiveness in today's rapidly changing business environment, MHI plans to move forward with our business partners to improve productivity of our entire value-chain.

With this in mind, in December 2008 MHI invited 230 partner companies to our first MHI Business Partners Conference where we candidly presented MHI’s current situation and goals. With this conference as a starting point, MHI plans a variety of activities for listening to business partner opinions, requests and proposals, and working together to reform work processes and reduce costs.

The company will continue to strengthen its collaborative ties with business partners and aim for win-win relationships.
