Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) extends its deepest sympathies to the many victims of the massive earthquake and tsunami that caused incalculable loss of lives and property throughout eastern Japan on March 11. We sincerely pray for the safety of all those affected by the disaster and for recovery of all regions as quickly as possible.
Current Operating Status of Production Facilities
as of August 9, 2011
Production facilities are operating normally. In the case of procured items, these are being secured at virtually normal levels; production is almost completely unaffected.
Outline
Ritto Machinery Works (Ritto City, Shiga Prefecture), the primary production base of the Machine Tool, supports literally every industry by manufacturing products such as various machine tools, precision cutting tools, engine valves, precision position feed back sensors and wafer bonding machines, and thus contributes to "future-oriented manufacturing" throughout the world.
We also proactively engage in participating in neighbor autonomous community activities and CSR activities aiming at becoming a community-oriented friendly enterprise.
