Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) extends its deepest sympathies to the many victims of the massive earthquake and tsunami that caused incalculable loss of lives and property throughout eastern Japan on March 11. We sincerely pray for the safety of all those affected by the disaster and for recovery of all regions as quickly as possible.

Kobe Shipyard & Machinery Works of MHI, consisting of the Main and Futami Plants, has consistently harnessed leading-edge technologies to deliver many excellent products since its foundation in 1905.
The Shipbuilding & Ocean Development Division is specialized in the construction of high value-added ships, such as container ships, pure car and truck carriers, submarines and deep submergence research vehicles.
The Power Systems and The Nuclear Energy Systems Division is engaged in manufacturing products mainly in the energy field, including nuclear power plants and diesel engines for vessels, that contribute to the development of social infrastructure while taking environmental protection into account.
The Machinery & Steel Infrastructure Sytems Division is engaged in manufacturing transportation system, toll collection equipment and HEV / EV Motor system.
Consolidating our abundant experience and excellent technology, we are actively taking the challenge of pioneering new products and fields such as semiconductor manufacturing devices and space equipment.
